MEET RACHEL SANDERSON:
As a young 15 year old, I met Rachel and was fortunate to both model and later mentor aspiring models at Rachel’s Model Management and Training throughout the 1990’s, up until she sold the business in 2013. Rachel has been a prominent influence in shaping my values around body image, health, leadership and business. She has a strong unfettering passion for driving and inspiring positive change!
How do you define natural beauty?
Healthy skin and an inner glow that comes from keeping your body fit and healthy.
When do you feel most beautiful?
After a yoga class.
How do you balance a glamorous and healthy lifestyle?
I always have a substantial and healthy breakfast and often take a packed lunch to work to make sure I am eating healthy foods. I limit how often I eat finger foods or drink alcohol at work functions as this can be really bad for your health given I can be out between three and six nights a week.
I have a good skin care routine, I try and get to yoga and pilates classes and I take notice of any changes in how I feel or look to keep on top of my health.
Who is your beauty icon?
Miranda Kerr, I really like her natural healthy look.
Do you have a favourite natural skincare ingredient, product or ritual that you can share?
Rachel has a Ba Arts (Accountancy) from Uni SA. She previously worked for a Chartered Accounting firm and as a financial manager before starting her own business in 1994. Rachel sold her business Rachel’s Model Management and Training after 18 ½ years and has been in State Parliament since 2010. Rachel is the Liberal Member for Adelaide and Shadow Minister for Families and Child Protection, Social Housing, Youth, Volunteers, Higher Education Science and Information Economy.
